A practice I have done quite a few times is to look in the mirror and simply say — I love you.

Not complicated, look yourself in the eye and say it. Mean it and move on your day.

It works, my emotional state has transformed

My reactions have ranged from, silly to wow I actually feel gratitude and joy from this simple action. Self affirmation helps eliminate the negative voices and puts us in an empathetic state that is quite powerful. (Who put these negative voices in our head anyways!) Being empathetic also makes you a better spouse, father, mother, leader, and generally a nice guy for everyone you meet.

bonus: community and business become happier

Give yourself 2.5 minutes a month and be happy

This ritual, like any workout routine, only works if you do it. Take the 5 seconds and give it a try for the next 30 days. Yes, I am asking you to invest 2.5 minutes to give your mind a boost of health and building your confidence.
